Jeffrey C. Nicholas is the founding member of the Nicholas Law Firm. He has served the Torrington and Waterbury communities for over 25 years.
CT disability Attorney Nicholas is a former claims representative with the Social Security Administration. He served as an American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Union Representative. He completed the CASA program at the American University in Cairo, Egypt in 1982 and is a 1983 graduate from the University of Connecticut where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
Attorney Nicholas served on the Standing Advisory Committee to the State Board of Governors for Higher Education. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University Of Connecticut School Of Law in 1987. He was admitted to the practice of law in the State of Connecticut in 1987 and the District of Columbia in 1989. He is admitted to practice in U.S. Federal District Court Second District and the Second District Court of Appeals. In 2010, Attorney Nicholas was admitted before the United States Supreme Court.

He serves as a Connecticut Fact Finder and Trial Referee. He has served as a neutral arbitrator and was recently reappointed as a Justice of the Peace. He is a former selectman and first selectman in the Town of Bethlehem. He has served on the town’s Board of Finance and Employee Appeals Board. He is a sustaining member of the
National Organization of Social Security Claims Representatives (NOSSCR) and attends national and regional conferences and seminars. Attorney Nicholas has also taught seminars on Social Security Disability.
